Attention Youth Leaders!

The Gulfsouth Youth Action Fund (GYAF) is seeking middle and high school students to fill positions on its Youth Advisory Board. If you or someone you know would be an asset to the youth advisory board, nominate them today. Self nominations encouraged.

The GYAF Youth Advisory Board is for you, If You:

  • Are Motivated to Make Change Happen in the World
  • Possess  Innovative Ideas for Improving Your Community
  • Have a Serious-Mind and a Creative Spirit
  • Delight in Working with a Group of Your Peers

As a Member of the GYAF Advisory Board, You Will:

  • Be Engaged in a Unique, Youth-Led Program
  • Develop Critical Thinking and Public Speaking Skills
  • Learn the Value of Service and Team Building
  • Become a Change Agent and Leader Among Your Peers
  • Learn more about Philanthropy: Giving of Your Time, Talent and Treasure for the Greater Good

Who are the Youth Advisory Board Members (YAB)?

  • The YAB participate in bi-weekly training sessions focused on fundraising, fiscal management, organization, public relations and the art of reading and writing business proposals led by community mentors/partners
  • The YAB is comprised of middle and high school students from different cultural, religious, racial and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Board members will be selected this fall after an application and interview process
