Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Operation REACH, Inc. Since the early days of Home for Homework in New Orleans’ St. Bernard Housing Development, the organization has been built by the power of volunteers like you who are dedicated to making a difference in their community.

A wide range of volunteer opportunities are available across ORI’s pipeline of programs, as well as in administration, fund development, and communications. Current opportunities include:

  • Mentoring and tutoring elementary and middle school students through Home for Homework
  • Serving as a guest speaker for a Gulfsouth Youth Action Fund Youth Advisory Board meeting
  • Tutoring high school students in academic subjects through College Bound
  • Assisting at the biodiesel production facility through the Gulfsouth Youth Biodiesel Project
  • Helping to organize the Youth Change Campaign fundraising drive
  • Assisting in the office or with special events
